Hallo Jayvdb!

Sep. 2007 (CEST)[Beantworten]

Don't speak German? Post {{User de-0}} on your user page or put de-0 into your Babel box.

Sorry, but without any reliable source for this text version and without knowing if this translation is in the public domain, I have to delete this e-text. --AlexF 14:26, 28. Nov. 2007 (CET)[Beantworten]

I am splitting up oldwikisource:Hymn of the Soviet Union (other language versions) as best I can; I would appreciate some help from the teams more familiar with each language. The text is currently on w:Gimn Sowjetskowo Sojusa. The original is PD (w:en:Copyright law of the Soviet Union) , and if you are concerned about the translation copyright, you can always do you own translation - it is very short. Jayvdb 22:48, 28. Thank you for contributing here but our policies don't allow
  • pieces without reliable source
  • pieces without free translation.

If someone is interested in this text here he can

Why does it need to be printed? w:Gimn Sowjetskowo Sojusa says it is a transcription of a recording (mp3 & ogg provided). This maybe gives some clues. The Russian law is quite clear that official translations of official works are not subject to copyright, and neither is w:en:folk art. See commons:Template:PD-RU-exempt. Jayvdb 03:29, 29. We simply don't know if it is an 'official' translation done by order of Soviet or East German (or whatever) officials, nonetheless the recording, we don't know anything about, is no longer available on the internet. We need a scan of a reliable published version of the German translation (that has to be PD), or a scan of a reliable source with the Russian text (in this case someone could add a translation under a free license). We have agreed in our guidelines that we can't accept texts without any reliable source due to our scientific claims. --AlexF 10:57, 29. Nov. 2007 (CET)[Beantworten]

It is ludicrous to ask me to give you a scan of the Russian original before you can do a translation - there is enormous amounts of proof that the original on ru:Гимн Советского Союза is the correct text - that interwiki link was in the article that has been deleted. Sorry, please accept that we will not translate the text. And accept too that we have our own standards. You have to obey, end of discussion, thanks --FrobenChristoph 00:30, 30. Nov. 2007 (CET)[Beantworten]
