Herzlich willkommen bei Wikisource. Es freut mich, dass Du zu uns gestoßen bist. Ein paar Worte über dich auf deiner Benutzerseite sind gern gesehen. Insbesondere würde es uns freuen zu wissen, wie du von uns erfahren hast.

Zur Einführung in das Projekt gibt es die Seite Wikisource:FAQ. Solltest Du Fragen haben, benutze einfach das Wikisource:Skriptorium oder komm in den Chat #wikisource-de. Um Hilfe zu bekommen, einfach links in der Suche Hilfe eintippen. Du kannst dich aber auch direkt an einen Benutzer wenden – die meisten und ich helfen gerne.

Wenn du etwas ausprobieren willst, dann ist die »Spielwiese« der richtige Platz.

Neulingen empfehlen wir, sich zunächst bei den „Korrekturen der Woche“ zu beteiligen, um unsere Arbeitsweise kennen zu lernen. Vor dem Einstellen längerer Texte (z.B. ganzer Bücher) wird darum gebeten, das Projekt im Skriptorium anzusprechen. Bitte keine Texte ohne zuverlässige Textgrundlage (diese ist als Quelle zu nennen) einstellen, und bitte nur gemeinfreie Texte einstellen!

Scans (oder Digitalfotos) der Quellen sind notwendig (bitte auf Wikimedia Commons hochladen)

Guidelines

What kind of texts are found at de-wikisource?

Wikisource collects source texts in 'German language'. German language means all (written) dialects as well as older variants of the language like Old High German (OHG) and Middle High German (MHG). Texts can only be included if they are free of any copyrights (in the Public Domain, usually 70 years after the death of the author and (if applicable) of the translator, starting on January 1st the following year - Wikimedia Commons license: PD-old) or made available under a free license like Creative Commons CC-BY-SA.

Scans of the (original) source must be available (or will be made available) at Wikimedia Commons or already are available through a reliable source in the internet with public access. Usually, the texts collected in Wikisource have already been published, i.e. printed – they will be converted into electronic text (e-text). There is no problem to add unpublished texts solely available in a handwritten source, if they conform to our above-mentioned rules.

A printed text or a reliable e-text (whatever this means?) should be carefully selected.

Wikisource does not accept texts without an appropriate source.

Our intention is not only to fit the needs or desires of the common users, but of scholars, too. Therefore the texts should be based on the best free editions. This means the reproduction of a first edition, an edition of last hand and/or an acknowledged, relevant edition. Even different versions of texts may be collected in individual cases.

Wikisource is not just another mirror of texts already available in the internet. We put emphasis on interesting and rare sources not available elsewhere or - if available - lacking our quality standards.

Wikisource sees itself as a scholarly founded and quality-oriented project aiming at highest standards of reproduction.

[Bearbeiten] Additional Information to the sources

Wikisource will not only reproduce texts, it will also give additional information on the text to the reader. Because of that, having introducing and explanatory information on the text is desired. Annotations to explain old fashioned and foreign language words are required.

The additional information may be:

   * Data to the source,
   * Bibliographic information (e.g. VD 16 and VD 17),
   * explaining footnotes to words and idioms,
   * References to comparable works,
   * Structuring of the source text,
   * Introductions,
   * Indices of words, persons etc.

In all cases it must be ensured in accordance with the edition guidelines of the project that is clearly recognizable, which information was added by Wikisource. --FrobenChristoph 12:19, 16. Mär. 2008 (CET)

Thx. I'm experienced (one of most active) user of Czech Wikisource where I'll plan to publish (among others) Czech translations of i.e. Heine's or Hamerling's poetry.
