Aretz oder Arntz?

[Bearbeiten]

Mein Deutsch est sehr klein: please excuse English.

H. 10, Ende Oktober 1926[Bearbeiten] Aretz: Der Spartakusbund formiert sich wieder. Titelblatt

Is this actually Gerd Arntz? Leutha (Diskussion) 11:58, 4. Sep. 2015 (CEST)Beantworten

Dear Leutha, this is possible. The original title page says „Aretz (Düsseldorf)“, this can be a misstyping. The Picture has some similarities to other pictures of Arntz. If you send me an email I can provide you with the picture. Yours --Konrad Stein (Diskussion) 12:42, 4. Sep. 2015 (CEST)Beantworten

Thanks, leutha(@)fabiant.eu

With the town Düsseldorf, I think it is almost certainly Arntz. Also I am interested in the work of his comrade w:Franz Seiwert who died young and so out of copyright. I would like to see his work translated into English. Is there any prospect of any of his work becoming available od de:Wikisource. Also do you have any experience of translation projects? Leutha (Diskussion) 17:56, 4. Sep. 2015 (CEST)Beantworten

Dear Leutha, to answer your second question first: no, I have no experience in translation work. For the first point: Seiwert is an painter as far as I see (I will have a closer look later), so there should be no problem to do a gallery on Commons. Within the next days the magazine "Die Aktion" will be available at the Internet Archive, you will find the links on our page. All the best, Yours --Konrad Stein (Diskussion) 19:39, 4. Brilliant news! Seiwert was both an artist and a theorist. I am very keen to see his "Offener Brief an den Genossen A. Bogdanow" as this is a reponse to Bogdanov which is not well known amongst English speaking people interested in Bogdanov.Leutha (Diskussion) 20:57, 4. Sep. 2015 (CEST)Beantworten

Nr. 23/24, 11. Juni 1921

[Bearbeiten]

Great to see the links to the internet archive. I noticed that only the front and back of Nr. 23/24, 11. Juni 1921 was scanned. Was this an oversight, or is the material missing? I have started extracting images. Is it all PD even when the author died less than 70 years ago? Leutha (Diskussion) 13:14, 15. Sep. 2015 (CEST)Beantworten

Dear Leutha, you are right. I uploaded the volumes like I got it from Hathi and figured out shortly later, that a big bunch of pages are missing - in every of the Hathi-Copies. So I startet to compile and organized missing pages from other sources (took me already a week) and reupload the completed volumes (marked as "vollständig"). Three are still missing (Vol. 4, 8, 9) which will follow the next days. In Europe every work is PD when the author died 70+1 years ago, if its less, the work ist not PD. In US texts which are published before 1923 is (mostly) PD. All the best, Yours --Konrad Stein (Diskussion) 14:08, 15. Sep. 2015 (CEST)Beantworten

Thanks for your great work. I have started to break up the large files into smaller files for each issue for uploading to commons. Also I have started to extract the illustrations as separate files as well. Leutha (Diskussion) 08:09, 16. Sep. 2015 (CEST)Beantworten

Done, vol.1-12 are now complet. You know, that splitting pdf which have bookmarks is easy with Acrobate Writer? There is a function like "document splitting" or something similar. Greetings --Konrad Stein (Diskussion) 12:02, 18. Sep. 2015 (CEST)Beantworten

Seitenlänge

[Bearbeiten]

Kann es sein, dass die Seite zu lang ist und nur schlecht lädt??? Möglicherweise könnte man das Problem irgendwie lösen? --2003:81:6F7C:E919:C559:BA58:8360:422A 09:50, 19. Nov. 2016 (CET)Beantworten

Nov. 2016 (CET)Beantworten
